Things you’re proud of yourself for

We often find it easier to recognise other people’s positive qualities and accomplishments than our own.

But it’s good to practice seeing our own strengths, even simple ones like finishing a tough assignment or going to the gym, or cooking a good meal.

You have every right to be proud of your achievements, your successes, your steps forwards, and your learnings.

If you’e finding it hard to think of things you’e proud of yourself for, ask yourself the following:

  • What are you most proud of in the last month?

Then, dive deeper. Dive into who you are and what you’re proud of in yourself.

  • What qualities are you most proud of in yourself?

Think of what you have done, what people have said to you, what you have done that you would praise the people you love for?

  • If you find this hard, try to ask someone who loves you

What have your friends, parents, siblings, lecturers, or co-workers appreciated in you?

This may feel a bit cringe, but respect what they say, and trust their opinion.

They’re the people who know you best
