Burnout can occur due to repeated exposure to Chronic Stress – a consistent sense of feeling pressured and overwhelmed.

Please consider the degree to which you feel the following at the moment:

  • Feeling physically and/ or emotionally wrecked

  • Feeling overextended, drained or “used up”

  • Feeling negative, angry or detached towards others

  • Feeling helpless, trapped and/or defeated – like things will never improve

  • Feeling like you can’t enjoy things

  • Feeling like nothing you do is good enough

  • Finding that you are lacking motivation and not able to get things done

If you feel that a lot of these apply to you, you may well be experiencing burnout.

An online questionnaire

for helping you to identify our levels of burnout.

If If you are experiencing burnout, it is very important to make some changes and manage your energy levels carefully.

Getting lots of sleep, lots of rest, eating well (and healthy) and taking time for yourself will all help with this.

Make sure that you don’t let your energy levels get too depleted. Think about what you can say “no” to and be ruthless around it.
