Your Core Beliefs are like your own personal “Rule Book” or “Value System”.
You make your Core Beliefs from all your experience you’ve come across in your life.
Your Core beliefs influence your behaviour and thoughts on a deep, deep level.
If your thoughts are kinda like a car, then your Core Beliefs are the road that direct the car
If you say “hi” to someone and they don’t say “hi” back…
…you may have a thought “they’re mad at me”…
…but this thought may lead to a core belief of “nobody likes me”
(and anyway, actually the person just didn’t hear you when you said “hi”)
It’s important to work on your core beliefs because:
- If you have positive core beliefs, they can give confidence & help you fulfil your potential.
- If you have negative core beliefs, they can damage your confidence and cripple your potential.
